Event Id 4015 Microsoft-windows-dns-server-service Cannot Be Found
I recently installed a new Windows 2012 R2 DC with DNS on it. In the DNS Events log, there are a slew of 5501 and 5509 errors. The problem is that all of my DNS events are missing descriptions like this. The description for Event ID ( 5501 ) in Source ( Microsoft-Windows-DNS-Server-Service ) cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer, or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer, or contact the component manufacturer for a newer version.

If the event was saved from another computer or forwarded from a remote computer, you might have to include display information with the events when saving them or when setting up the forwarding s I have spent a good bit of time on this and all of the websites say that the program causing the error may need to be reinstalled. Do i need to reinstall DNS to fix this?
