New Key Widget replacing former Key Lock button: This new widget prominently provides the core features for harmonic mixing all in one place: Key Lock on/off, colored resulting key display, and semitone up/down controls.
The new visual appearance can be toggled on/off in the preferences. Semitone up/down key control in Key Widget: When engaging Key Lock the Key Widget displays semitone up/down buttons, enabling you to pitch the track up down the track in musically-relevant steps. Display of resulting key in Key Widget: When engaging Key Lock the button displays the original key of the playing track in the notation of your choice. This enables you to find the next matching track easily be following the rules of harmonic mixing. Display offset between resulting and original in Key Widget: When engaging Key Lock the button below the resulting key displays the offset from the track's original key in steps of semitones. This enables you to avoid offsets that are too large, which may result in audio degradation.
Optionally display resulting key in Deck Header: The resulting key can also be displayed in the deck header, by selecting the option 'Resulting Key' in the Deck Header section of the 'Track Decks' Preferences tab. This value also displays the resulting key without engaging Key Lock, by showing the closest full semitone along with the current offset in cents. Highlight for tracks matching the MASTER deck's key: When engaging Key Lock on the current Master Deck, all matching keys will be highlighted in the browser, enabling you to select the next matching song in your set. How exactly the keys are highlighted can be personalized in a preference setting.

Option to personalize highlighting of key color in browser: A new preference option in the 'Browser' tab of the preferences allows you to customize the way, matching keys will be highlighted in the key column of the browser. Quantized semitone up/down controls on S4 MK3: The new quantized semitone control provided by the Key Widget has been applied to the Key Control on the S4MK3.
This article explains how to download the installer for a new installation of TRAKTOR in case you lost your installation DVD or the downloaded installation files. If you want to update an existing TRAKTOR installation on your system, please download the most recent update from Service Center or the on our website. Downloading TRAKTOR from your NI User Account If you purchased your TRAKTOR license online or recently bought a boxed TRAKTOR product, you can find the download installer in your User Account on our website. Go to on the Native Instruments website. Click on My Products and Serials, re-download. You can now see a list of your registered NI products.
Locate the TRAKTOR version you want to download the installer for and hit the Download button behind the serial number. Note: In some cases, there will be no download available for your version of TRAKTOR. In this case, please refer to the next chapters of this article in order to download the TRAKTOR installer. In the next window, you can select the correct download for your operating system. Click on the corresponding download button and save the installation file to a save location on your hard drive. We recommend to create a backup of this file for future installations. Installing TRAKTOR PRO 2 with the Demo Version If there is no download available in your User Account, you can download and install TRAKTOR PRO 2 using the Demo version from our website.
Note: Though we are referring to the TRAKTOR PRO 2 Demo Version, the Demo installer can also be used to install any TRAKTOR 2 product version (eg. TRAKTOR 2 LE, TRAKTOR DUO 2, TRAKTOR ME 2 and also the SCRATCH versions of TRAKTOR 2). You will be able to activate your TRAKTOR PRO 2 license when you first start the Demo.
After activation the Demo essentially becomes the full version of TRAKTOR PRO 2. Note: The loop and sample content is not part of this download. You can access and download the content seperately from Service Center after the installation and activation of TRAKTOR PRO 2 has been completed. Go to the section of the TRAKTOR PRO 2 product pages. Enter your Email, select your Country and click on GET DOWNLOAD LINK.
You will get a confirmation that a download link has been sent to your Email. Once you get the email, click on the download link for the Demo installer to download the software Installing the original TRAKTOR PRO or TRAKTOR DUO If you are still using the original version of TRAKTOR PRO or TRAKTOR DUO and there is no download available in your User Account, you can use the latest available TRAKTOR update (version 1.2.7) as a full installer. Go to the section in the Support area (SUPPORT DOWNLOADS TRAKTOR/Legacy updates) of our website and log in with the email address and password for your NI account if required. Type 'Traktor 1' in the product search field and hit Enter. From the results list, click either of the top entries Traktor 1.2.7 Mac OS X Update or Traktor 1.2.7 Win Update, depending on your operating system, and download the installer.
